WT June 1, 2001 (part II)
by Defender inthe second article of discussion in this issue is titled: "moving ahead to final victory!".
the article starts to talk about christs enthronement as king and in paragraph one, along with an illustration of crowned jesus riding on a white horse, it states: "we today, have clear evidence that this foretold enthronement took place in 1914.. since watchtower article discussions are always a one way dialogue, where the society speaks and the rank and file just listens, it is easy to make assertions.
in a normal two way dialogue, when one says "i have clear evidence" for something, the other party will not just nod his head in agreement, but would rather demand to know and see what this clear evidence is and would want to proceed and examine it thoroughly.

by nightwarrior inyou dont need to be dissfelowshiped to be shunned ( why & how ).
what caused you to be shunned from within your congregation, even though you were not disfellowshipped ,.
where in the scriptures does it mention this particular type of remedy, does the creator sanction this type of treatment, were you suicidal when this happened ,did you receive support from anyone ,how did you handle it.. can you offer advice to people going through this at the moment.. agarpe love

NO REVERSAL. ON TENET.
by Blueblades in" we have ended our practice of disfellowshipping members who take a blood transfusion.. but, any member that does take a blood transfusion automatically revokes his membership.. it has the same effect.
with the semantic change we are simply stating more accurately that a person who rejects our tenets chooses to leave.
the watchtower public relations department.".

Damage control
by Gig ini could spend many of your minutes describing how helpful this forum has been for me, suffice it to say that it's the way things should be...offer an idea and everybody else have opportunity to put it on the table too, pro or con.
my opinion is that jw's haven't realized (or have been denied) the benefits of such an appropriate arrangement that also provides the best method for discovery and growth.. my offering today is prompted by what i've found to be a recurring theme here...one that never fails to bother me.
as many witnesses "get out", too often (for me) they along with now rejecting the wts, reject many of the good things the wts tried, however horribly, to represent.

Preaching the kingdom or what?
by acsot ini was at the meeting on sunday and one brother mentioned how jws are heeding the scripture at matthew 24:14, you know, about the kingdom being preached, and he said how in every corner of the world jws are now found and it's a fulfillment of the scripture.
then the thought struck me that if that were true, then when people think of jws they should think "god's kingdom".
not in my experience, as when going from door to door or what colleagues at work have said.
